More skirts

I'm trying to stay away from my all time favorite A-line black skirt. I must admit maxi skirts are my new favorite!

This weekend I found this blue pleated skirt at Ross. I really have to think hard when putting together an outfit and this Sunday was no exception. Since I dind't have time, I just paired it with a cream Banana Republic blouse and black patent shoes. Very comfy skirt!

And this was my Friday outfit. Very colorful. Experimenting with stripes, purple & hot pink!
Skirts can be fun!

El Amor

It is so beautiful to feel loved by our family and friends.

But above all it is amazing to know how much our Creator loves us!

Don't let anything distract you from His love!

"Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:39

"Ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios, que es en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro." Romanos 8:39

Happy Friday!

Who doesn't love Fridays? I do! Bbut they're usually the craziest day at work and the beginning of a VERY busy weekend!

******

While doing some closet cleaning, I found a few pieces I had forgotten all about! A reminder I don't need to do any shopping for a while.

In this outfit I'm wearing a few of my favorite pieces. I really like the Steve Madden purple suede booties (bought on sale for $15), they go with almost everything! Nude lace blouse from The Loft, (also bought on sale for $10) And of course my polka dots nylons... kind of fun!

Have a blessed weekend!

Be Happy!

Trying to work with what I already have.

This is a hard concept because we tend to always want what others have or emphasize what we are lacking rather than appreciate what we have.

This year I have decided to focus on what I have. My blessings are too many to just sit and cry for what I would like to have, buy, or be. Instead, I will appreciate the present and work hard for the future.

So, here are two outfits I wore to work. Yes, same shoes. And I'm also wearing brown opaque tights.

Have a blessed day!

One of my many dreams is to have a HUGE walk in closet. But for now I will have to manage and be creative with the small closet I have. But there's never enough room for my bags. Well, at Clothed Much they came up with a great and easy idea to hang your bags! check it out!

Deseos del corazon

"But seek his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33
"Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

Seek God first and foremost, and He will bless you with the other desires of your heart.
Does that include a new watch, Michael Kors bag, new tires for my car, and a trip to Argentina?

We'll see.

So here's what I wore to work on Tuesday. Taken with my iPhone. When I dress for work I try to keep it professional, yet not boring. Dressing modest can be challenging, but not impossible.
Everything bought at Ross and/or Marshalls' =)

Very comfortable shoes. And cute.
Nylons look white but they are nude.

Have a blessed day!

Trust

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,

and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

"Fíate de Jehová de todo tu corazón, Y no te apoyes en tu propia prudencia. Reconócelo en todos tus caminos,

Y él enderezará tus veredas." Proverbios 3:5-6

"Submit": The act of submitting to the power of another.
Depending on Him for everything is sometimes difficult. We tend to just go along with our feelings and what we think is best for us. But trusting and submitting to Him will require total dependence on Him. Sometimes we think to ask for His will when it comes to big decisions or real bad situations, but if we don’t start trusting him in the small things of every day life, how will we do it with big things?
Trust Him, submit to Him every day, for every thing. Big and small.
Honestly...when has God failed you?

Monday!

"Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;" Psalms 25:4
"Muestrame oh Dios tus caminos, enseñame tus sendas." Salmos 25:4

This has been my prayer for the last 2 weeks...and God has already showed me His Will...Not what I was hoping for but must accept it. He knows better.

Monday= The beginning of a BLESSED week!

Why do you dress how you dress?

I have been preparing to teach a class at church about "Modesty". And I have learned it it is more than just "rules". Modesty revolves around every area of your life. It is important to understand who and how valuable we are.

1. We are daughters of the King. If you don't believe it then you won't be able to know your value! As daughters of the King we should behave, talk, and dress as one.

2. We are extremely valuable! God Himself came and died for us! We are his children! Once you understand this concept you will make better choices on how you dress.

Our appearance should reflect who we are. Modesty will help you achieve it.
